The Korean diary entries have established a bit of a monopoly here lately. This is because I have registered to do the Government run test of Korean language ability on September 16 and use this writing format as a way to practice. The entries are edited by my Intermediate level student from last semester, Tae Gyun, who enthusiastically corrects my many small errors, as well as the occasional larger ones, so I can post them here. He also helps me with reading, speaking, and grammar practice and I listen to tapes we have recorded from the Yonsei series of books on the bus and subway as I wind my way to and from my various commitments. Language learning is a consuming process. Meanwhile this week I have also started the dissertation course through my old alma mater, Macquarie University. This is also requires a large commitment of time... Designing a research project...hmmm...still procrastinating about this.
